EFT is a competent and reliable partner working closely with European authorities, organisations and research institutes. EFT ensures that the policy-making bodies are aware of the needs of the industry. EFT promotes the image of the sewing threads industry and contributes to the development of Europe's textile economy.
Joining EFT means:
• to become a member of a European association being able to safeguard the interests
• to be immediately informed on all important matters concerning the European textile industry, e.g. focussing on the latest developments, activities, events, regulations and decisions in political, economical, technical and environmental fields;
• to meet regularly with your European colleagues for an exchange of views and ideas on topics of mutual interest;
• to contribute to the development of the European sewing threads industry
• to participate in common activities of other European industrial associations, e.g. by giving recommendations for harmonised European standards, providing recommendations for harmonised customs tariff codes, promoting market access, supplying European statistics on sewing threads.
Primarily EFT is a communication platform for the industry, the authorities and the leading commissions in Europe.
The spectrum of issues and activities of EFT is very large, ranging from economic policy matters to foreign trade, thereby always focussing on intelligent solutions developed and implemented to the largest possible benefit of all parties concerned.
In view of the increasing Europeanising EFT has gained considerably in importance.
Who can become member of EFT?
According to the Statutes of EFT ordinary membership of the EFT will be restricted to companies in the sewing thread industry which have their registered office within the EU.
Companies in the sewing thread industry having their registered office outside the European Union may join the EFT as associate members.
